The effects of emotional-cognition improvement program for the children with mental retardation

Abstract
|

|
The purpose of this case study was to investigate the effects on emotional intelligence, comprehension of basic emotion, empathy, solution of personal problem and problematic behavior on children with MR after applying the emotional-cognition improvement program. The results are as follows: First, the Emotional-Cognition Improvement Program brought about emotional intellectual improvement on children with MR. Second, the Emotional-Cognition improvement Program brought about improvement in the ability of basic emotional comprehension, empathy ability, and ability of personal problem solution on children with MR. Third, the Emotional-Cognition improvement Program brought about positive changes in problematic behavior of the children with MR.
